Delivery policy
Delivery is by courier and sent overnight from us on a next day delivery service. We do not need you to sign for your delivery – someone else at the address can do this for you. When no one is available to accept the item, we will try follow your delivery instructions first. In order to give your cheese the best chance of getting to you in optimum condition, we recommend adding a note of a suitable place to leave the order if you are not in, or an alternative delivery address such as a nearby neighbour. If this fails, we will attempt to deliver the parcel to another neighbour, or else store it at a Parcel Force depot or a Post Office of your choice, for £1 extra, chargeable to Parcel Force. Please see the Receiving section in www.parcelforce.com.
Storing your cheese
On receipt of your cheese, please refrigerate it (between 6 and 8 degrees), or place it in a cellar, unless you intend to eat it immediately. It is best to store stronger cheeses such as blue and washed rind cheeses in plaster containers so that they don't overpower food in your fridge. Once you have eaten some of your cheese you can rewrap it in the original wax wrapping paper or clingfilm (do this tightly to make sure air doesn't get in). Wrapping in tinfoil or greaseproof paper are not so good for the cheese.
